II. Link Policy: || TOP || Carnaval.com is a web directory or link guide which seeks to provide a value added surfing experience for our audience by critically evaluating web site pages made available to the world wide audience.
 In general we do not: 1) ask permission before linking or making a directional icon graphical to a third party web site
2) make any guarantee to maintain a link in return for a return link. 
In general we will: 1) remove a link to a web site if requested by a representative of the site owner
2) consider adding a link to a commercial web site in our marketplace section for:
a) return link b) future unspecified consideration c) market leadership in a market segment
3) consider adding a link in the editorial section which includes many links to purely commercial web sites for a referral fee. The user can generally determine if this arrangement exists by examining the URL for extra ordinary address code
4) allow third party web sites to add links to their web site in the forum or aForum.com section. Continuation of the link or this policy is solely at the discretion of carnaval.com
Forum or aForum.com is an evolving community with volunteer  moderators who may not adhere to these policies. In addition several organizations are represented who may elect to not allow certain content at their sole discretion. Forum also has a use policy which is addition to this one.
 Official Web Sites: We maintain a policy of  favoring and highlighting official web sites ahead of third party web sites. Official web sites generally are maintained by the producer of the event and often represent a community based Board of Directors. We attempt to have links to every official Carnival web site in existence. Other carnival oriented web sites are of special interest to us if they maintain a somewhat comprehensive links page or other pages focusing on their festival (as opposed to their group's participation) and/or the region where it takes place.

Disclosure || TOP || Carnaval.com is owned by C.M.Collins & Associates Inc. , a State of California Corporation and is based in the Mission district of the City of San Francisco, State of California, United States of America. President Chris M. Collins  is a board member of several organizations involved in the promotion of Carnaval-San Francisco which takes place at the end of May on Memorial day weekend Sunday.
Mr. Collins participates in Carnaval for fun as a hobby and has never come close to covering the out-of-pocket costs of his Carnival participation much less breaking  even (non-profit status) or making a profit in a related industry. Mr. Collins will eventually place Carnaval.com in a trust if he can devise a way to make it viable as a non-profit and be able to cover its costs of operation.


 VI : Privacy Policy Here at Carnaval.com we are firm believers in the protection of our users' privacy. The following is our statement on privacy.

Carnaval.com does not require nor release any information that can identify a specific user. Users can place specific information about themselves on our chat and discussion areas (www.aforum.com) that the public can view. It is up to the users as to what they wish to place in these areas, Carnaval.com may edit or remove these entries as they see fit, improper language and overall Web Server content size is our criteria in these actions.

Carnaval.com has never used emails or shared emails to send unsolicted or promotional emails. We hope to develop popular community tools which promote interaction between within and between Carnaval communities that may result in a change but anything would have an easy opt-out.  

 Carnaval.com will not disclose any data to entities outside of Carnaval.com from users selecting this.
